Internetitis
Internetitis is a malady affecting the mind. Although, the
internet is an amazing resource, for some it has come to serve as a
replacement for thinking. Those suffering from internetitis adopt
every opinion or position by means of a google search. Without
introspection, further research, and general consideration of the
subject matter such discovery does not advance enlightenment,
self-actualization, nor the advancement of knowledge, but rather serves
as a weak substitute for critical thinking, discovery, and the rigors
of actual research. In recent years I have become acutely aware
of this trend, especially amongst students. If this describes you
I strongly urge you to instead find your own
voice. Simply parroting the voice of others is not interesting,
does not serve the pursuit of knowledge, and renders academic
discussions useless. In papers this has often been expressed with
plagiarism or poorly constructed arguments. Both will harm your
overall grade (indeed the former will almost certainly lead to failing
the class and a mark on your permanent record) and neither will serve
to make you a better scholar. A simple example of this can
be found at http://www.futureofthebook.com/stories/storyReader$605.

Fellow-creators the creator seeketh--those who grave new values on
